Summer has just begun and during the next three months many of our routine winter habits will give way to more relaxed rhythms.
In Puglia, tourists and locals will certainly start to crowd the coasts, from Gargano to Salento, while many others will move to countryside to find fresher temperatures. In such an environment, summer will explode with its pleasant evenings and special recipes. And, especially in this summer 2014, the matches of football World Cup in Brazil will be the perfect occasion to organise dinners with family and friends.
“Panzerotti”, “focacce”, grilled meat and fish…there are so may easy and fast recipes to choose from! And today we would like to show you that of grilled prawns.
Ingredients (serves 4):
2 slices of garlic
120 ml of extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Prepare an emulsion of oil and lemon juice; then, add finely chopped parsley and garlic. Reshuffle the compound and put it in the fridge.
Take the prawns, wash gently under running cold water and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Dip the prawns in the emulsion and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Then, retake the prawns, drain them and put them on the grill.
Grill for about 5 minutes, making sure to turn the prawns often to toast evenly both sides.
When the prawns are ready, put them on a serving platter, sprinkle the emulsion and garnish with lemon slices.
The great thing about this very fast recipe is its fresh flavour of lemon. You can serve the prawns with a salad of lettuce and cucumbers seasoned with olive oil, salt and lemon, and accompanied by slices of toasted bread.
